Biography:
Dr. Qi Lu joined Sichuan University-Pittsburgh Institute in 2019 after obtaining his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University. His current research interests include motion control, physical human-robot interaction, and its application to medical and aerial robotics.
Dr. Lu is a Sichuan Provincial Young Talent, Chengdu Tianfu Haizhi Expert, Sichuan Oversea High-Level Talent, and a Master Advisor. He has received the Best Paper Award from the IEEE International Conference on Unmanned Systems, the AUVSI XPONENTIAL Poster Competition Third Place Award, and the Sichuan University Best Thesis Advisor First Place & Second Place Awards. He has published more than 20 papers and filled/awarded 7 patents. Relevant research was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Sichuan Science and Technology Program, etc. He also serves as a National Level Undergraduate Innovation Project Advisor, the session co-chair for the 2020 ASME Dynamic Systems and Control Conference, and the reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation of China, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, etc. His teaching interests include Mechanical Measurements, Mechatronics, Automatic Controls, etc.
