Dear Colleagues,

Our first teaching seminar of this semester will be held next Friday. This teaching seminar aims at conducting a mid-term review of the three ongoing education reform projects in our Institute. After each presentation, we will conduct a Q&A session.

Topic: International, Interdisciplinary, and Industrial Partnerships–New Approaches to Engineering Higher Education in Practice

① Dr. LI YE

2 PM – 2:20 PM

This project takes the promotion of curriculum development with political and policy considerations and textbook compilation as its research perspective. It mainly focuses on how to achieve the integration of internationalization and localization in undergraduate courses.

② DR. WU YINGJIE

2:20 PM – 2:40 PM

This project aims to optimize talent cultivation in Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME) by synergistically integrating artificial intelligence and project-based learning approaches. The project addresses current challenges in materials science education by developing an AI-enhanced pedagogical framework that combines multi-scale modeling, computational simulation, and data-driven optimization, while implementing real-world engineering projects to enhance students’ practical skills and innovative capabilities.

③ MS. XUE SHUANG

2:40 PM – 3 PM

This project will explore our “348” framework and enterprise-driven curriculum innovation and discuss how to build sustainable strategies for cultivating international engineering innovators.

Based on its research objects and methods, the first presentation will be delivered mainly in Chinese, while the following two will be presented in English. Attendees are kindly advised to arrange their schedules accordingly.
