Sichuan University-Pittsburgh Institute Students and Faculty Participate in the 7th International Conference on Software Engineering and Computer Science (CSECS 2025)

Taicang, Suzhou, March 21 to 23, 2025 — A significant event in the field of software engineering and computer science – the 7th International Conference on Software Engineering and Computer Science (CSECS 2025) was held in Taicang.
This prestigious conference was sponsored by IEEE, IEEE Nanjing Branch, and the International Society of Computer Application Technology and hosted by the School of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. The conference was held at the Taicang campus of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, where outstanding scholars and researchers worldwide gathered to discuss and exchange ideas, promoting innovation and development in software engineering and computer science.

At this conference, a cross-disciplinary team of faculty and students from four different majors at Sichuan University – Pittsburgh Institute (SCUPI) successfully presented their research paper “AI-Driven Integration of Educational Resources and Intelligent Questions and Answers System.” This team, consisting of members from various disciplines, including Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Materials Science & Engineering, included undergraduate students Mingyang Wu (Class of 2023), Yuzhou Wu (Class of 2023), Ruoyu Wu (Class of 2023), Xincheng He (Class of 2024), Qifeng Feng (Class of 2024), Zhengkang Xu (Class of 2024), along with faculty members Rong Yin (Assistant Professor in Industrial Engineering) and Kang Li (Associate Dean for Research). Under the careful guidance of faculty from Industrial Engineering, this interdisciplinary collaboration fully demonstrated the unique advantages of SCUPI’s cross-disciplinary approach that integrates medical and engineering fields.
During the conference, Mingyang Wu, as the presenter, elaborated on the research findings of the “AI-Driven Integration of Educational Resources and Intelligent Questions and Answers System,” demonstrating the innovative applications of artificial intelligence technology in education. He was honored with the Best Presenter Award for his outstanding presentation.

Additionally, our students had the privilege to share their research results with academic peers from various countries, engaging in deep and friendly discussions. This provides undergraduate students with opportunities to interact directly with top scholars in the field outside the classroom, fully showcasing our students’ talents and highlighting SCUPI’s international education model and values. This intensive international academic dialogue not only validated the practical value of classroom knowledge but also demonstrated the effectiveness of SCUPI’s international education through direct conversations with authoritative scholars in the field.

CSECS 2025 built a bridge for deep dialogue between our faculty, students, and the international academic community. Through this academic event, we not only showcased innovative results of interdisciplinary research but also expanded our global vision through intellectual exchanges, deepening our understanding of cutting-edge AI applications in education. This serves as a vivid testament to the effectiveness of our institute’s international education approach and injects strong momentum for continued innovation in intelligent education. We look forward to transforming these gains into practical actions to promote disciplinary development and contribute more to the digital transformation of education.
