In order to deeply implement the spirit of the National Education Conference, implement the discussion on the development of first-class undergraduate education and teaching, and promote the in-depth development of “three-whole-person training”, Ms. Xue , director of school-enterprise cooperation of SCUPI, shared the experience of the institute’s exploration of practical education over the past ten years under the theme of Construction of Internationalized Undergraduate Innovative Talent Cultivation Mode by Industry-Teaching Integration–Practice and Reflection on the afternoon of May 9.

Ms. Xue pointed out that SCUPI has always been committed to cultivating engineering talents with practical spirit and application ability, pursuing excellence in quality, and the courage to take responsibility. In the past ten years, the institute has continuously promoted the deep integration of school-enterprise cooperation and talent cultivation.

Combined with specific cases, Ms. Xue demonstrated the positive impact of enterprise visits on graduates and students in finding career directions and seeking internship opportunities, showing the effectiveness of school-enterprise cooperation in inspiring students’ life planning and choices.

Finally, Ms. Xue put forward her suggestions and visions for the future work. She hoped that the institute student affairs team, faculty members, and social enterprises could support each other to build a teaching support system, a parenting support system, and a scientific research support system by building courses and laboratories together, developing high-level competitions, and declaring cooperative projects. In addition, it is necessary to promote the integration of ideological education and corporate social responsibility to enhance the social influence of enterprises and the institute.

Over the past ten years, Sichuan University-Pittsburgh Institute, with a mentality of simplicity and firmness, unity and enthusiasm, and tolerance and support, has integrated industry and education through the whole chain of talent cultivation. It will continue to explore the path of cultivating engineers with an international perspective and a sense of home and country.
