On October 20, 2023, from 12:30 to 13:30, the Career Advising Group (CA) of Sichuan University – Pittsburgh Institute invited three outstanding students, Yanzhe Wang, Tianle Yang, and Jiayi Nie, to share their learning experiences and postgraduate admissions expertise to help others gain a better understanding of the process and answer any related questions about future choices, with the aim of providing a platform for students to exchange experiences, share effective study methods, as well as chart a better courses for future.
Before the session commenced, Ms. Roland Luo from the Career Advising Group (CA) provided a brief introduction to three outstanding students and their postgraduate admissions process. The audience welcomed them warmly.
First, Yanzhe Wang introduced his grades and postgraduate admission online. He explained his preparations and efforts to pursue both a “3+1” program to the University of Pittsburgh in the US and summer camp to postgraduate admission successfully. He emphasized the importance of academic research and practical experience. Hence, he advised everyone to make multiple preparations for future.
And then, Jiayi Nie introduced the relevant materials and the examination based on her own experience. She encouraged students who are interested in applying for postgraduate admission to participate in major competitions as early as possible to enrich their research experience.
Finally, Tianle Yang, drawing from his personal experience, helped the students to understand the postgraduate admission process and notice, as well as analyzed how to distribute time appropriately to enrich personal background.
During the Q&A session, students actively participated, and the guests patiently addressed their inquiries.
In this sharing session, three outstanding students introduced postgraduate admission to lower-grade students by sharing their own learning experience and answered questions related to the admission process as well as materials preparation, which enhanced students’ understanding of postgraduate admission and stimulated their enthusiasm and initiative for learning. At this point, the sharing session came to a successful conclusion.
