SCUPI Holds 2025 Alumni Day, Welcoming Graduates into the Alumni Family

On June 19, 2025, the Sichuan University – Pittsburgh Institute (SCUPI) held its annual Alumni Day on the Jiang’an South Campus, warmly welcoming the Class of 2025 into the SCUPI alumni community.
The soon-to-be graduates gathered in the Institute’s multi-functional hall, where they filled a message board with heartfelt graduation wishes and future aspirations. During the event, attendees revisited memorable moments from past activities of the SCUPI Alumni Association and engaged in meaningful conversations with peers and students returning from dual-degree programs overseas. Students from different oversea universities shared resources and experiences related to studying and living abroad.
Faculty members also joined the gathering, catching up with students, sharing laughs, and taking photos together in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
To facilitate interaction, the event featured a board game zone and a refreshment area. Graduates took photos at the dedicated graduation wall and enjoyed lively interactions with the Institute mascot, Pipi. The day concluded with a lucky draw, where several attendees received special gift sets prepared by the alumni association.
Many graduating students reflected that their time at SCUPI had been an unforgettable chapter in their lives. The guidance of mentors and companionship of friends, they shared, had been instrumental in their growth and would remain a cherished part of their youth.
Alumni are not only witnesses to SCUPI’s development but also active contributors to its future. The annual Alumni Day is more than just a reunion — it is a bond that keeps the connection between graduates and their alma mater alive. Starting from their beginnings at SCUPI, alumni go out into the world, but the Institute remains a welcoming home for all.
