SCUPI delegation attended 34th EAIE Annual Conference, deepening cooperation with universities and industry.

Recently, Professor Minking Chyu, Dean of SCUPI, Ms. Wei Tang, Director of Administration, Ms. Wenxi Mou, Director for Career Advising, Ms. Shuang Xue, Director for Industrial Outreach were invited to participate in the 2024 European Association for International Education Conference in Toulouse, France. During the visit, they also visited the headquarters of Airbus and the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse (INP), aiming to explore new opportunities for joint education, master’s and doctoral studies, summer camps, and university-industry cooperation.

This visit is an important initiative and exploration for SCUPI in the field of international education cooperation. The EAIE Annual Conference is one of the most influential education events in Europe, gathering education experts, scholars, and industry leaders from around the world to discuss the latest trends and future developments in the field of education. The 34th EAIE Annual Conference and Exhibition, themed “En Route!”, included seminars, workshops, roundtable discussions, project negotiations, and exhibitions, attracting over 255 educational institutions from more than 90 countries and regions, with over 7,000 educators attending.

Dr. Minking Chyu and the delegation actively participated in discussions, exchanged experiences, and shared the achievements of Sichuan University – Pittsburgh Institute in international cooperative education and talent development over the past decade, receiving high attention and praise from the participants.

During the visit to INP, the delegation was warmly received by the school’s leadership, international office, and relevant professors from the engineering college. Both sides had in-depth discussions on collaborative master’s and doctoral programs, summer camps, university-industry cooperation, and visited the school’s laboratories, engaging in close dialogues with international students.

This visit not only deepened mutual understanding between SCUPI and INP, but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation. Both sides will continue to maintain close contact and actively promote the implementation of various cooperation projects.

Over the past decade, with its outstanding teaching quality, rich international resources, and advanced educational concepts, SCUPI has provided students with broad development space and opportunities for growth, achieving significant results in talent cultivation. At the same time, it has actively cooperated with well-known foreign universities and enterprises to continuously enhance the institute’s international influence and the global competitiveness of its graduates.

This visit to Toulouse, France, marks another important step for SCUPI on the path of international cooperation. The institute will continue to steadily advance in cultivating versatile talents with international competitiveness and innovation capabilities.
