SCUPI

To present the academic achievements of SCUPI’s graduating seniors, the SCUPI 2025 Senior Design Expo was held at the SCUPI Building Auditorium on the Jiang’an South Campus of Sichuan University on the afternoon of 16 May 2025. The senior students have been working in teams to design and test solutions for real-world challenges during the sequenced Senior Design Courses. The Expo provided a platform for students to show their talents and present their innovative projects.

More than 300 people came to the event, including junior students, alumni, faculties, experts from related fields, and representatives from partner companies. They all came to celebrate this important moment for the graduating class.

This year, students graduating from three different subjects – Mechanical Engineering; Materials Science and Engineering; and Industrial Engineering – presented a total of 39 excellent projects. At the event, each team explained their projects through poster presentations and demonstrations. These projects were based on real-world problems. It is worth noting that several projects combined medicine and engineering.

Based on the votes, five categories of awards were presented: First, second and third place, honorable mentions, and enterprise’s choice. The Associate Deans T.Z. Mai (Academic Affairs), Ye Li (Student Affairs), Kang Li (Research) and Wei Tang (Administration), and representatives from our collaborated enterprises, presented the awards to the winning teams.
