Representatives of FAW-Volkswagen Chengdu Branch visited SCUPI

On the afternoon of December 22, 2023, representatives from the assembly workshop of FAW-Volkswagen Chengdu Branch visited SCUPI to have discussions with SCUPI team in terms of joint scientific research, university-industry cooperation, and other matters.

The delegation from the Assembly Workshop of FAW-Volkswagen Chengdu branch included Mr.Quan Lu, leadership of the workshop, Mr. Liyou Yuan, a Field Engineer, Mr. Jiwei Jiang, Head of Public Relations, and Mr. Rui Li, Human Resources Specialist. The representatives from SCUPI included Dr. Minking Chyu, Dean of SCUPI, Dr. T.Z. Mai, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ye Li, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Ms. Vivi Tang, Director of Administration, faculty representatives Dr. Jianzhao Li, Dr. Xiaomei Tan, Dr. Di Liu, Ms. Michelle Xue, Career Advisor and Ms. Alina Jiang, General Administrator, participated in the discussion.

Dr. Minking Chyu, on behalf of SCUPI, expressed a warm welcome to the delegation of FAW-Volkswagen Chengdu and provided an overview of the Institute, and then Mr. Liyou Yuan introduced the relevant business situation and proposed suggestions for the future direction of cooperation.

During the discussion, both parties explored the potential areas of cooperation and actively discussed how to integrate FAW-Volkswagen’s expert team and intelligent equipment into the daily teaching of SCUPI, and at the same time, to provide students with industry visits and job internships, aiming to achieve the goals of industry-education integration and talent development. The collaboration between the two parties will contribute to improving the quality of talent development, increasing the social competitiveness of students, and demonstrating the sense of corporate social responsibility.

After the discussion, Dr. Minking Chyu accompanied the representatives of FAW-Volkswagen Chengdu to Jiang’an South Campus to visit the new building of SCUPI. The visit ended successfully.
