On September 22nd, Dr. Minking Chyu, Dean of Sichuan University-Pittsburgh Institute (SCUPI) and Ms. Michelle Xue, career advisor, visited and extended their regards to representatives of SCUPI Alumni in Beijing.

This reunion also marked the beginning of alumni collaboration in Beijing. As the Mid-Autumn Festival approached, Dean Chyu conveyed his best wishes on behalf of the Institute. September 29th this year holds a special significance as it is not only the Mid-Autumn Festival but also Sichuan University’s 127th birthday! “Tolerance makes greatness; all rivers flow into the sea, and the bright moon delivers thoughts of longing.” Sichuan University will always welcome everyone, and SCUPI will forever care for our SCUPIANS.

Dean Chyu shared the stories of SCUPI’s striving and recent breakthroughs since its establishment. The alumni also shared their own experiences and growth in work and study in recent years, expressing sincere gratitude to SCUPI and the professors for their diligent guidance and mentorship.

Since its first enrollment in 2015, SCUPI has actively promoted student growth and talent development throughout the entire institute. With a unified goal and cohesive efforts, we aim to enhance students’ core competitiveness, diversify their career paths, and witness our graduates shine in various fields such as manufacturing, the internet, chips, finance, artificial intelligence, autonomous driving, and consulting management, both domestically and internationally. We sincerely hope that our SCUPIANS will find success in their careers and happiness in their lives. We encourage them to engage passionately in their chosen fields and contribute to the country’s development.

SCUPI is currently actively establishing and developing an alumni community, organizing alumni activities meticulously, providing a platform for alumni, exploring valuable resources, publishing alumni newsletter, and recruiting alumni mentors. We hope to serve our alumni in more diverse and high-quality ways. At the same time, we sincerely look forward to more alumni returning to our institute, maintaining close contact and communication, and better playing a collaborative and mentoring role, contributing to the construction and development of Sichuan University and SCUPI.

In the next step, we will gradually establish alumni chapters in various regions and warmly welcome alumni to join us, since ONCE SCUPIANS, SCUPIANS FOREVER.
