Developing student engagement in the classroom is an important part of a teacher’s job and perhaps one of the most difficult. In this seminar, Mathew Evans will share the teaching frameworks he uses to motivate his students to learn at SCUPI. These pedagogical strategies include learning by design, task-based learning, collaborative learning, and other instructional approaches. Participants of the seminar will see how lessons in academic writing as well as the study of air pollution put these strategies into practice. Participants will also take part in a short workshop to further explore these teaching strategies.
