On the afternoon of March 19th, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey project presentation was successfully held. Professor Lin Hao, School of Engineering, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and Dr. Ge Yao, Deputy Director, Office of Global Affairs, visited Sichuan University-Pittsburgh Institute (SCUPI) and gave a detailed introduction on the postgraduate programme and summer camp program . The atmosphere at the scene was lively.

At the beginning of the presentation, Minking Chyu, Dean of SCUPI, introduced two guest speakers and visiting alumni, and briefly introduced the summer program to be presented next.

Dr. Ge Yao, one of the keynote speakers, first introduced the historical evolution and campus overview of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. The school consists of four campuses, located in the core area of New Jersey in the United States, with four major branch campuses. The total campus area is vast, and the overall student population has reached 70000. There are already 8000 Chinese alumni, among whom outstanding alumni have employment in fields such as finance and high technology, especially in pharmaceutical companies. Subsequently, Dr. Ge Yao showcased the campus environment and facilities. The student dormitories are designed in an apartment style, equipped with single rooms, independent bathrooms, and kitchen facilities. They have a high summer opening rate and are widely praised for their convenience in daily life. In recent years, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey has been closely cooperating with major universities in China, covering areas such as student exchange and joint research, and is continuously deepening cross-cultural interaction.

Professor Lin Hao provided in-depth analysis for his classmates on the collaborative project between Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and SCUPI. Professor Lin Hao emphasized the advantages of the school in terms of employment, as the gathering of pharmaceutical and industrial industries provides a broad platform for students. Afterwards, Professor Lin Hao showcased the main achievements of the summer project through promotional videos and scientific research practices, and introduced two core courses, ML (Introduction to Machine Learning) and AI (Introduction to Artificial Intelligence). Students will explore their research interests through theoretical teaching and laboratory practice. Finally, Professor Lin Hao sincerely invites students to actively participate in the summer program and looks forward to meeting everyone.

In the Q&A session, Dean Minking Chyu and Professor Lin Hao answered students’ questions about the training mode and enrollment plan, and gave away cultural shirts for the summer project.

The lecture came to an end in a pleasant and harmonious atmosphere, and students gained a deeper understanding of the admission programs at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, further clarifying their own plans for further education.

After the meeting, Dr. Ge Yao and Professor Lin Hao had friendly negotiations and discussions with the Career Advisory Group (CA) department regarding the cooperation project between Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and SCUPI.
The meeting ended successfully in a friendly and harmonious atmosphere. After the meeting, both sides exchanged gifts and took a group photo as a souvenir.
