On December 6th, the 2024 Glowing Fair at the Sichuan University – Pittsburgh Institute (SCUPI) was successfully concluded. Let’s take a moment to revisit those unforgettable moments and feel the festive atmosphere!
Preparation
To ensure the success of the Glowing Fair, the SCUPI Student Council (SSC) began preparations early. From each performance segment to the meticulous setup of interactive booths, we blended tradition and innovation
to decorate this special moment, anticipating the arrival of every SCUPlan.
Entrance
We used pens as messengers and hearts as ink to write our hopes and wishes for the new year. Every stroke carried the seeds of hope, taking root and growing on the signature wall.
Showtime
The stage is a canvas for dreams, and the lights are the strokes of passion. Singing, dancing, bands, instrumentals, robot performances, each performer is the protagonist of their own story. Under the spotlight, they showcased their talents.
Teachers and students alike participated, releasing their unique brilliance.
Through their talents, they painted the first brushstroke of the new year,
making every performance a beautiful note in the prelude to the new year.
Memorable Moments
01 Blessing
Under the wishing tree, each SCUPlan hung a wish. It carries everyone’s blessings toward the sky.
02 Ring Toss & Mask Painting
On blank masks, we painted our dreams for the new year. Throwing the ring with all our might, it spun in the air and landed, sending waves of cheers or sighs through the crowd. We didn’t just win prizes, but also captured the joy and surprises of the new year.
03 Fortune Arrives
Every unexpected encounter with fortune plants a little surprise for some future moment. May every SCUPlan discover surprises in their search and enjoy the fun in their exploration.
04 Talent Show
The talents of SCUPlans from both home and abroad also shone brightly. Calligraphy, painting, and photography, each piece celebrated life, each stroke an aspiration for the future.
05 Tea Break Time
During the tea break, we ate delicious foods from around the world
and exchanged cultural insights. Every bite was a reward for our taste buds. We experienced the richness of the world.
Time flies, and the end of the year is near. The New Year’s bell is about to toll, and we stand at the threshold of time, looking back on the past, while gazing forward to the future. We wish every SCUPlan, in the coming year, to step forward with greater determination and enthusiasm, to write our own brilliant chapters, and set sail toward distant horizons in the new year!
