Event Recap | 2025 Fall Admissions Officer Face-to-Face Series Successfully Concluded

From late October to mid-November, the Sichuan University-Pittsburgh Institute successfully held the 2025 Fall Admissions Officer Face-to-Face Series. Throughout the event, delegations from the George Washington University (USA), the University of Bristol (UK), and KU Leuven (Belgium) visited our institute and delivered admissions presentations.

October 22: George Washington University
Ms. Yuan Shiyu, China Representative of George Washington University, served as the keynote speaker, introducing the university to attending students. She began by outlining its rich history and unique advantages stemming from its prime location in Washington, D.C. She highlighted how the university provides students with access to research and internship opportunities at top-tier institutions like the World Bank, and the Smithsonian Institution, alongside connections with numerous leading technology companies. The School of Engineering and Applied Science offers cutting-edge master’s and doctoral programs alongside scholarship opportunities. Furthermore, the university’s comprehensive career support services provide strong backing for students’ career development, ensuring promising prospects for graduates. The session concluded with a Q&A where Ms. Yuan addressed student questions on topics like the impact of economic conditions on admissions and the university’s QS ranking.

October 29: University of Bristol
Ms. Li Qian, Chinese Representative for the University of Bristol’s 3+1 Integrated Bachelor’s-Master’s Program, first overviewed the university’s location, international reputation, notable alumni, and faculty and laboratory resources. She then detailed the program’s specific features and strengths. The program facilitates efficient completion of both degrees within four years through mechanisms like conditional early admission, credit transfer, and a one-year master’s curriculum, supplemented by scholarship support. Additionally, the university’s extensive resources for postgraduate studies and comprehensive career services lay a solid foundation for students’ future academic pursuits or employment in renowned companies.

November 10: KU Leuven
Mr. Bai Weien, International Office Director and Mr. Li Wei, International Alumni and Cultural Affairs Supervisor of Group T Campus, KU Leuven, visited our institute. Mr. Polet acted as the keynote speaker for the admissions presentation. He started with a general introduction covering the university’s location, language environment, and overall strengths. He then focused on the international characteristics of the Group T Campus, which offers a range of English-taught engineering programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels, alongside various joint cultivation programs designed to meet diverse student needs. Moreover, the study costs are relatively cost-effective, and strong industry-academia collaboration provides practical experience, enhancing graduates’ competitiveness for careers in multinational corporations or further academic pursuits. Finally, Mr. Polet concluded the presentation.

November 14: Asian Master’s Programs Session
On November 14, Ms. Keru Chen from the CA provided students with an in-depth interpretation of the cooperative master’s programs in Asia. Ms. Crystal Yuan from the OSA supplemented this with key application points and important considerations.

The 2025 Fall Admissions Officer Face-to-Face Series concluded on a highly productive note. This initiative successfully built a direct bridge between our students and world-renowned universities, providing crucial information and precise guidance for their future planning.
