Event Recap丨Flora Music Festival Ends Successfully

On the afternoon of April 11th, the 2025 Flora Music Festival of Sichuan University – Pittsburgh Institute (SCUPI) was successfully held in Lecture Hall S101 of SCUPI Building, Jiang’an South Campus of Sichuan University. Dean Minking Chyu, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs TsunZee Mai, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs Ye Li, Director of Administration Wei Tang, faculty members, and students gathered to enjoy a youthful symphony on this warm spring day.

Part 1: Warm-up & Opening Ceremony

Following a lively performance by the invited band “Winter in Chengdu,” Dean Chyu delivered an opening speech and officially declared the Flora Music Festival open.

Part 2: Highlights
Romantic ballads and electrifying rap blended into a musical feast on the stage, while the vigor of youth and the spark of dreams illuminated memories at Flora. Let’s revisit that afternoon through these snapshots:








Students radiated youthful energy, while faculty members also contributed their own melodies to the event.




The festival featured interactive games like Lyric Relay and Song Title Guessing, where enthusiastic audience members won small prizes for correct answers.

Part 3: Award Ceremony
The competition spanned preliminary and final rounds, with 7 groups advancing to the finals. A live audience voting system determined the winners: each voter cast one ballot for their favorite performance. The top three prizes were awarded as follows:
Champion: Jiaxuan Liu
Runner-up: Ruixuan Yue
Third Place: Yutian Wang & Cailing Qiao



The festival concluded with a grand finale. Members of the organizing team led the audience in a chorus of Something Just Like This, accompanied by a shower of confetti petals.

The warm sun bathed the spring afternoon, where gentle breezes intertwined with melodious songs. In this vibrant season, lively notes found their way into the hearts of the youth.
