On December 6, 2023, Professor Minking Chyu, Dean of Sichuan University Pittsburgh Institute (SCUPI), will deliver a lecture in honor of Goldstein at the University of Minnesota.
On December 6, 2023, at 3:30, the Goldstein Memorial Lecture will be held in Room 1130, Mechanical Engineering Building, College of Science and Engineering, University of Minnesota. Famed mechanical engineer and educator Richard J. Goldstein died on March 6, 2023, at the age of 94. In 1950, he came to the University of Minnesota for a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, eventually earning a doctorate and joining the faculty in 1961. Professor Minking Chyu, Dean of SCUPI, will deliver a memorial speech to commemorate the life and work of professor and renowned mechanical engineer Richard J. Goldstein (1928-2023). The lecture will be conducted live and face-to-face, and everyone is welcome to participate.
