Dean Chyu Delivered a Speech on International Higher Education at Airbus in China

On September 22nd, Dr. Minking Chyu, Dean of Sichuan University-Pittsburgh Institute (SCUPI) was invited to visit Airbus in China, where he delivered a lecture on education-related topics to all Airbus China employees.
This iTalk event is one of the activities under Airbus in China’s “Great Mom Community” initiative, aimed at sharing parenting experiences and supporting the growth of female employees. It is also part of the annual activities of Airbus’ Belonging@Airbus and Balance for Business programs, with a focus on diversity and inclusive culture. Dean Chyu shared on higher education, starting from the history of universities and sharing their development and transformations. He discussed how students can choose the appropriate educational path for themselves under different selection and admission systems, and used extensive data to provide an overview, classification and comparison of Sino-foreign collaborative education. Drawing from his years of experience in the higher education industry, he advised on how to choose and suggest suitable paths for children’s development, how to critically evaluate university rankings, and how to make the most of university resources for personal growth and success.
At the end of the lecture, Ning Fei, the Head of Human Resources and Workplace of Airbus in China, presented Dean Chyu with an honorary guest speaker certificate.
During this visit, Dean Chyu, along with Ms. Michelle Xue, career advisor, actively discussed future directions for university-enterprise cooperation with the Airbus in China Human Resources Team and representatives from the Engineering Research Center, aiming to jointly contribute to the development of future engineers and aviation talents.
