Company visits expand opportunities and promote cooperation; there’s much to be accomplished with medical-engineering synergy

On December 14th, Ms. Michelle Xue and Ms. Rita Luosang from Career Advising Group (CA) visited General Electric China Technology Park for research and discussion.

Ms. Wendy Gao, the director of talent recruitment at GE Healthcare, warmly welcomed SCUPI delegation. Ms. Jane Chen from the GE campus recruitment team led the CA team on a tour of the GE Shanghai Technology Park. Subsequently, Wendy Gao gave a comprehensive introduction to GE Healthcare.

GE Healthcare’s campus recruitment team introduced the company’s talent development program. Michelle Wang, the manager of GE Healthcare recruitment and employer branding, further explained the business development, historical accumulation, and localization talent strategy of GE Healthcare. GE Healthcare has always placed great emphasis on talent, especially young talent, offering higher starting points and faster growth for management trainees in their early careers.

Michelle Xue, who is responsible for the university-industry cooperation and internship employment segment at SCUPI shared insights regarding the institutes overall situation, talent cultivation, and university-industry cooperation.

Both parties had a lively discussion on topics such as promoting the integration of industry-university-research, medical-engineering synergy, and talent cultivation. The aim was to explore further deepening the talent cooperation possibilities between SCUPI and GE Healthcare, strive to cultivate excellent talents for the medical industry, and explore cooperative opportunities under Chengdu’s precision medicine project, all while jointly cultivating Chinese talent and future engineers who are quick learning, responsible, grounded, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit.
