Airbus China’s Human Resources and Workplace Team Conducted Career Advising Workshop for SCUPI Students

On March 13th, Xiazhu ZHANG, HO Develop, Transformation & Digital Airbus China, Mindy JIAO, Head of HR (ALS), Ric ZHANG, Leadership U, Knowledge Management, Wenjing ZHU, HR Digital & Performance Management visited Sichuan University – Pittsburgh Institute (SCUPI). During the visit, they had in-depth discussions with the leadership team of SCUPI, including Dr. Minking Chyu, Dean of SCUPI, Dr. TZ Mai, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Kang Li, Associate Dean for Research, Dr. Ye Li, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Ms. Wei Tang, Director of Administration, as well as faculty representatives Dr. Jin Xu, Dr. Shan Gong, Dr. Yang Liu, Dr. Yuqi Ouyang, Dr. Jianzhao Li and Mr. Shuang Xue, Career Advisor covering topics ranging from talent cultivation, internship and employment, and early talent development programs, etc.
During this visit, the Airbus China HR and Workplace Team delivered an interactive workshop on the theme of “Airbus Values” to SCUPI students. Dean Chyu delivered welcoming remarks. The workshop vividly presented Airbus’ six core values through group discussions, brainstorming sessions, and sharing discussions, as well as highlighted Airbus’ commitment and efforts to build a sustainable, safer, and prosperous world. It also encouraged SCUPI students to shoulder the mission of engineers and strive for the sustainable development of society.
After the workshop, the three HR experts conducted one-on-one career advising session for 19 students in terms of resume refining, mock interviews as well as career planning and employability diagnosis, aiming at support the career development of SCUPI students.
In addition, the Airbus China delegation also visited SCUPI new building located at South Jiang’an Campus. The first-class experimental equipment and innovative practice platforms provide not only hardware conditions for the cultivation of versatile talents with both patriotism and international perspectives, but also strong facilities support for the deep cooperation between the two parties in the future.
This visit is also one of the strong measures to promote deep cooperation between SCUPI and Airbus China after signing the university-industry cooperation for talent cultivation in aviation.
