2021 SCUPI INTERNATIONAL CULTURE WEEK

SCUPI International Culture Week is aimed to share and impart legal and safety knowledge, etiquette and communication traditions, advanced studies and job search experience to students who are going to study abroad through a series of seminars, lectures, and workshops. The 2021 SCUPI International Culture Week will be held from July 5th to 6th. All students who are about to participate in the 2+2, 3+1 joint education program are required to participate, and other students voluntarily sign up. For the convenience of the students who cannot be present, this event is also synchronized online through Tencent Meeting.

Event 1：Overseas Security and Common Knowledge in Law Workshop

Guest: Changning Chen，Doctor in Law, Assistant Researcher at Sichuan University School of International Studies.

Event 2： My Studying-abroad Life as an Atypical Researcher

Guest： Michael Lu, Assistant Professor at SCUPI. Ph.D.in Mechanical Engineering, Texas Tech University

Event 3： Studying Abroad and Cross-culture Communication Panel Discussion

Guest：Liz Li，Assistant Professor at SCUPI,Ph.D.in Economics at Syracuse University

Guest：Kunpeng Wang, Assistant Professor at SCUPI,Ph.D.in Mathematics at Dalhousie University

Guest：Jiuzhou Lei，Student in Mechanical Engineering of SCUPI Class of 2017, SCU-PITT 2+2 Joint Program student. Will go to University of Pennsylvania for graduate school in Robert Design.

Guest：Sicheng Tao, Student in Mechanical Engineering of SCUPI Class of 2017, SCU-PITT 2+2 Joint Program student. Will go to University of Pennsylvania for graduate school in Mechanical Design.

Event 4： Knowledge Service Technology and Application for Industrial Data

Guest：Hongwei Wang, ZJU-UIUC Joint Institute Researcher and Doctoral Supervisor.

Event 5: Pre-departure Training
Finally, the Administrators from Student Affairs, Academic Affairs and OSA will introduce the policies regarding registration, student management and also pass on small tips about studying abroad, etc. Paperwork will also be done in this session.
