Richard Stehle began teaching at SCUPI in 2017. He previously worked at the National Energy Technology Laboratory in Morgantown, WV as a fellowship recipient under the Oak Ridge Institute of Science and Education program. He also taught at The University of Florida in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department after being awarded a postdoctoral teaching fellowship in 2014. He received his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 2009 from the University of Miami and his doctorate in mechanical engineering from the University of Florida in 2013. Dr. Stehle’s research interests include thermal energy systems that pertain to alternative energy applications such as concentrated solar energy, fuel cells and chemical looping.
